Step 1: Instance Settings

Set up the look, feel and payments options for your partners

To begin with your instance we recommend getting started with your Instance Settings. With your Instance Settings you will be able to customize your platform to the liking of your business with logos, theme colors, payment options and more. To learn about the instance settings in more detail please see our article here.

Step 2: Adding Users

Get your teammates set up in the platform

There are two methods to add a ser to the platform, In your Users page you can manually add a user or a Partner can be added through your sign up link, the latter would be the most used method a Partner is added to your platform. When a Partner signs up through your link they will be sent to an "Unapproved" column, once you "Approve" them they will be able to access the platform.

As an Admin level User you will have the ability to reset passwords, view Offers as a Partner, add Referrals, and export User Lists.

Step 3: Build Out Your Offers

Learn the various ways to set up your brands, offers and deals to maximize efficiency

Note: During your initial instance build, we usually recommend setting up a test offer to begin establishing end-to-end tracking tests.

Once your Instance settings are set we can move on to setting up your Brands and Offers. When setting up a Brand we should consider setting them up to best suit the needs of your business wether it be spitting them up by rand (Brand 1, Brand 2), geo-location (Brand-CA, Brand-DE) , vertical (Brand-Casino, Brand-Sportsbook), etc. There are various viable options to consider. Learn more on how to add a Brand.

After setting up your Brands you can begin to create your Offers. Offers are considered the the key of ad-ops importance in your instance as they house creatives and host the one-to-one connection between an Offer and Partner with use of "Agreements," as well setting up Partners pixels. Learn how to build your offers here.

Step 4: Agreements

Learn how to set up your deals

When building out your offers there are factors to keep in mind such as geos, verticals, commission types, etc that can dictate the structure in which you will be setting up your offers. You can run multiple partners on an Offer, but a single partner can only exist on an Offer once. Because of this we recommend thinking about how many "Agreements" (or various payouts) a single partner might run, this will determine your need for multiple Offers.

Our system supports Default (or template) agreements for each offer for quick Partner setup/management. A common use case for new brands is creating a "Run of Network" Offer that any new Partner on your platform can be added to in order to begin sending traffic quickly. Under this example, it might make sense to Create a Default Agreement containing a revenue-share payout for new/organic/untested Partners. Once this is in place any new Partners can be quickly added to this to begin driving traffic.

Step 5: Creatives, and Destination Links

Set up your tracking links and build out your offers

With your Offer and Agreement set up you are can begin adding your Creatives in order to generate tracking links. Common creatives used in combination with a "Run of Network" Offer are "Direct to Registration" and "Home Page" links. One factor to consider when adding Creatives is which parameter will be used to pass the Intelitics ClickID. Intelitics has dynamic values that can be utilized in your destination links, among these values is the systems ClickID. As the lifeblood of the system it is imperative that this variable is added to your destination links. While it is common to pass this variable in a "btag" or "clickid" parameter (ex: &btag=%click_id%, &clickid=%click_id%) the decision on what parameter to use will lay with your business.

While the Intelitics ClickID is essential to add to your destination links, other values such as Partner ID and Marketing Type are optional and can be passed should you want to collect this data. In addition to Intelitics supported values you can have the option to append variables to your destination links in order to maximize efficiency with your ad-ops setup.

Note: Your destination links follow a hierarchy in the platform, when utilizing a tracking link append it is important to spectate what level you are setting your link append to, in the past we have seen Users append links on a Brand level in order to encompass all tracking links.

After you've set up your Creatives you can generate a tracking link. Upon generating your links you will notice Intelitics tracking links follow a particular structure. This structure will be used throughout all of your tracking links within the platform and allow you to tag the links with Marketing Types and pass additional variables with Intelitics SubID parameters.

Step 6: Tracking Considerations

Confirm your conversions are being tracked as expected

Before opening up your instance for your Partners to send traffic it is important to consider and confirm all conversions are being tracked as intended. No matter the method used to feed data into your platform (S2S, GiG, SFTP Upload etc.) you can confirm all conversions are being tracked with your Manage Conversions page. While reporting typically runs on a 15 minute cache delay Manage Conversions will show you all transactions tied to a specific ClickID the moment the conversion is passed into the platform. Also included in Manage Conversions is the ability to remove conversions, view metadata (IP Address, OS, etc) and check the source of where a conversion data was received.

Step 7: Whats Next

Learn about other features at your disposal in your new instance

Now that you've set up your Partners, Offer(s), Creatives, Agreements, and confirmed conversions are being tracked as intended you are ready to go with your instance! Something to consider would be going to your Account/Payments section and adjust/verify the Monthly Settings are to the liking of your business. There you can set up certain Ringfencing and Brand Bundling conditions. We recommend heading over to our knowledge base and taking a look at the articles published. In our knowledge base you will find advice and answers on exporting Reports, Account Pools, and Partner Guidance.

We hope you enjoy your new instance and if you have any specific questions please feel free to reach out to your appointed contact.
